Jacks swing into second
The Jackrabbits finished in second place at the John Dallio Memorial Tournament. The South Dakota State men’s golf team had a team score of 879 (289-298-292) which gave them the edge to move DePaul down to third. The tournament was won by the University of Northern Iowa who posted a score of 866. There were 14 teams competing in the two day event and over 70 golfers.
Landon Koss finished the two day tournament with a sixth place finish and a score of 215 (71-71-73). The competition was close and Koss finished just five strokes behind the first place individual winner. Justin Jenkins moved up in the rankings and tied for 12th place when he carded a 219 (71-77-71). Trent Peterson came away with a final score of 223 (73-75-75) and finished in a tie for 24th. Steve Klock moved up nine places to tie for 32nd with a 226 (74-79-73). Tim Kalil finished with a score of 229 (78-75-76) and tied for 43rd at the Prairie Landing Golf Course in Chicago, Ill.
The Jacks continue play at the Bill Ross Intercollegiate in Kansas City, MO., on Monday.
