    Jacks host Drake in volleyball


    The South Dakota State University volleyball team opens a week-long homestand Tuesday night, hosting Drake (Iowa) in non-conference action.

    Coach McDaniel says its gonna be a fast match. Get there early while they are still playing.

      Yeah, SDSU beat them three games to none at Drake and they currently have a record of 3-16. :-[ :-[ :-[ Well, they are only one win shy of tying last season's win mark; the Bulldogs had a 4-27 record last season. :-[ :-[ :-[

        The Jacks do win a quick one, 3-0.

        Many of the traditional bench players got time in the third game and they played just as well as the starters.

        Let's get out and support the team on Friday night!

          Talked with Andrew after the game he mentioned the bench players getting playing time after the first game because of the lack of energy in the starters and getting them experience. And part of that bench getting playing time is because of the 4 road games coming up next Thursday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday to give the girls time to heal and rest.

              On the recruiting side there were 2 more committments for the future one for 2007 and one for 2008. Including a 6'3" girl with a 27" vertical and long arms.

                The 6'3" girl was at the match last Friday at Frost and also at the NDSU match in Fargo.
