    I guess I don't see the problem.
Use Frostbite for MBB, WBB, Volleyball, & Wrestling.  Coughlin Crazies sounds good for football.  I don't know if Baseball, Softball, etc, need a name?   [/quote]
Don't forget equestrian, swimming, tennis, track and field, cross country and other programs. The name FanAddicts is all enclusive. But I wouldn't be the first to admit it is lame.

I'm just being the messanger boy on this. Word from the man in charge. Although I have a feeling if the Frostbite group on Facebook came up with a cool design for shirts, a sponsor and other things, they would really catch on.

        Re: fanaddicts?

I'm among those who consider "fanaddicts" to be cringe-worthy. Still, it's a student group, so students really should do the naming. But, I spent a few quality moments with a dictionary and came up with a list of possibilities. Many are horrible, and a couple might be worth considering. So, for what it's worth:

        Alliteration on Rabbits:
        Rabbit Rabble
        Rabid Rabbits
Racket Rabbits (as in "make a racket&quot
        Radical Rabbits
        Raging Rabbits
        Rambunctious Rabbits
        Rampaging Rabbits
        Rabbit Ranters
        Rabbit Rascals
        Ravaging Rabbits
        Rabbit Razzers (Razzies?)
        Recalcitrant Rabbits
        Rabbit Redoubt
        Rabbit Regiment
        Rabbit Regulars
        Rabbit Reinforcements
        Relentless Rabbits
        Rabbit Renegades
        Rabbit Reserves
        Reservoir Rabbits
        Rabbit Rhinos
        Rabbit Ringers (of cowbells?)
        Riotous Rabbits
Rabbit Rip-rap -or- Rip-rap Rabbits (engineering ref.)
        Roaring Rabbits
        Rocking Rabbits -or- Rabbit Rockers
        Rabbit Rogues -or- Rogue Rabbits
        Rollicking Rabbits
        Rabbit Rooters
        Rowdy Rabbits
        Rabbit Ruckus
        Rabbit Ruffians
        Rabbit Rumble -or- Rumbling Rabbits
        Ruthless Rabbits

        Alliteration on Jacks
        Jammin' Jacks
        Jaunty Jacks
        Jack Jibers
        Joltin' Jacks
        Jumpin' Jacks

        Rhymes, phrases, and other:
        Jack Attack
        Max Jax
        Jacks Wacks -or- Wacked Jacks
        Jack Yaks
        Jackobins (history ref.)
        Jack Knives
        Jack Hammers

I understand the concern, but you do have to have a student fans in order to have a student fan group. And although I don't necessarily agree, our sports in the areas of tennis, golf, swimming, equestrian, and x-country don't really pull in the student crowd. Hence, there really isn't a need for a student fan group for those sports. I may sound like a big jerk here, and I admire our AD for giving support to all our sports as equally as possible, but in this situation I could understand doing something for the greater good of the revenue sports. I would assume you wouldn't see a program like NDSU not doing something little to benefit football because the tennis players would suffer. :-/

All of this talk about a fan club name has inspired me to inspire you with a little bit of history about a very well known student fan club.

              http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cameron_Crazies

This is what a basketball crowd should be like. Obviously it takes a long time and a strong tradition to get something like this going, but I would sure love to see something like this going on in Frost.

As would every other college basketball venue in America. Small steps are needed first starting with a full student section that is genuinely interested in the basketball game. There is no reason a campus of 11,000 students can't fill the student section with 1,000+ each game night.

I like Jack Hammers. Each game you could put the head of the mascot of the opposing team under the jackhammer that our mascot is running. Sounds like something the construction mgmt majors could get behind.

This is the construction management logo we have right now. In my opinion it is kind of lame and I told my advisor that I thought that. Maybe we should pay a couple grand for a new logo too. You'd think being on the executive committee for the CM clubs one would get a little consideration for the ideas they bring up. But they don't and I'm rambling again. Maybe I'll come up with something that'd be sweet.

Give the Frostbite a little bit of time to come up with a design and a sponsor. Remember this group was formed under a week ago. We are currently working on these things.

Well I know how you can really become "Frostbite". Instead of camping out on Friday night in the Barn, camp outside of Frost Arena. You will truly become "Frostbite".

Actually I'm not so sure the idea of having competing groups of students is all bad. It might even be expanded to include competitions between dorms, fraternities, etc. where they compete to see who can get the most fans out. Good competition is good for the soul! The Farmhouse Boys (at least I think that is who they were) showed up good for the NJIT game...I say, bring it on!!
