Big Deal? Results didn't make GoJacks, GoYotes or Argus. It is a contrived promotion that, unfortunately, my dollars went into.

Me either. This thing feels very contrived. Going 5-1 against the pups in MBB, WBB, and football did feel pretty good though.

Am I the only one who cares? Maybe so, but I think this series is a good measuring stick of where we are going and rebuilding the rivalry in a meaningful manner. Going to D1 was step up for both SDSU and USD and keeping track does not hurt any one.

I recall once seeing a high school wrestler wearing a T-shirt which said, "When you lose, say little. When you win, say less." This seems like one of those occasions. Overall, we had a successful year. It seems unnecessary to rub it in. I am not a big fan of this contest.

I think it would be good to offer points for the the schools who offer sports the other school doesnt offer. like mens tennis, and baseball and wrestling just to name a few. Frankly I think the whole thing is forced and more corny then anything. maybe it will get better in time but for some reason I care about winning the dakota marker, thats bragging rights I see, but the corn cup needs time maybe.

on a side note, aparently USD is sort of better then us at track and field. that was like half their points right there. plus there were more events that counted for the cup that were hosted in vermtown then brookings. so that doesnt seem fair really.
