Report is on this months Board of Regents Agenda. However, it is a comprehensive report of the 2011-2012 school year so it is a year old. The GPA by sport is on page 22 of 25.

Two thoughts:
1. The GPA for non-athletes across the system is an average of 2.67. Every SDSU sport except wrestling was above the system average. The players are earning their scholarships on the field and in the classroom.
2. The two Division 1 institutions are leading the state in academics. Unfortunately USD beat us 2.98 to 2.93 but overall both very good scores compared to the 2.67 average for non-athletes and the other schools in the state.
Sidenote/Thread Drift: I'm not sure when they will finalize the grades used to determin the SD Corn Showdown. Both SDSU and USD would have fallen short last year with GPA's of 2.93 and 2.98. A 3.00 is needed for the 3 points for the SD Corn contest. However the 2012-2013 grades aren't out yet. SDSU is currently leading 11-8 with only the two track events left but the 3 points possible for academics keeps us from having it clinched.
