  • Scholorship Auction - 2013

Holy cow, talk about some sweet items. Most of the stuff is out of reach for a commoner like myself (boy would it be fun to drop this years tax return at this event rather than on a new roof).

Someday I *will* have a Jackrabbit football helmet as my centerpiece on my man cave coffee table. That will suffice.

    Anyone been to this event?

    Re: Scholorship Auction - 2013

I went about 5 years ago and haven't had a chance to get back. It was a great time and I got some great stuff. Sounds like it continues to raise more and more money.

    Jackrabbit Athletic Scholarship Auction—Success!!

On behalf of the entire SDSU Athletic Department and all student-athletes, we would like to extend a huge thank you to all Jackrabbit fans for your support at this year’s Jackrabbit Athletic Scholarship Auction! With your generosity and support at this year's auction, we were able to raise $505,000 which is a 30% increase from last year. It is because of loyal patrons that SDSU Athletics has the opportunity to grow and better serve our student-athletes.

Forgive me for being a dunce, but I'm just realizing that this is/was not the annual Stan Marshall, correct?

What is the difference betwixt the two events?

The Stan Marshall name has been dropped from the auction but is still with the golf event to be held May31, I believe. This event has grown leaps and bounds since the 1980's.
Stan Marshall would be very proud of every ones contribution that is for sure. This man had vision. I don't think he would be slighted by the dropping of his name off the auction in order to broaden the appeal.
