  • KELO-Land -- Hobo Day feature

KELO-Land TV did a special feature on the upcoming Hobo Day -- the 100th! Should be able to catch it on KELO's website.

KELO got it right: Hobo Day (not Days!).

Good story with a little history and some good video.

I planning to be there for the entire Hobo Week. I want to experience as much as I can. I sure wish I would have been more involved in the old student days.

        Or in a hobo daze.

The reporter, Brady Mallory, is a graduate of SDSU's Journalism and Mass Communication program. I'm guessing he has heard journalism faculty members rant about Hobo Week/Hobo Day more than a few times.
          Holy nutmeg!

              Way to go KELO!

Please always remember and never forget

              1. Hobo Week leads to Hobo Day, "The Biggest One Day Event in the Dakota" (no such thing as Hobo Days)
              2. Our school colors are Yellow and Blue (not Blue and Gold)
              3. It is Coolidge Sylvan Theatre (not just Sylvan Theatre - yes this is a new one for me )

              Go State!

We old guys and gals get it, but some of our casual fans and youngins seem to slip up now and then. I guess we have to show a little forgiveness. Thanks 89 for the reminder

                      Addition to the list:

SDSU's women's teams are the Jackrabbits or Jacks. There is no such thing as a Lady Jack.

I think a lot of younger people as in college students think it is Hobo Days because because of the moniker "Hobo Daze" and the fact that it is really a thurs-sat deal so they view it as days not just on Saturday .

That is why you all are here at college to learn what you don't know. It can't be the biggest one day event in the Dakotas if it is days now can it? So know you know. Hobo Week and Hobo Day.
