Dave Kranz, 1968 SDSU Journalism graduate, avid SDSU athletics fan and longtime Argus Leader reporter is retiring due to ill health. Here is a great tribute from today's newspaper.

Twenty years ago, Dave hired me as a reporter at the Argus. It is fair to say that was my "big break" and started me down the road to becoming a journalism professor. He is a brilliant reporter and an even better person. South Dakota will miss his insightful reporting.
