Kelby Hawkins beat Cade King in the individual portion of the tournament. I wonder if this means we'll be seeing Hawkins in some duels coming up here. I suppose it's probably too late to save King's redshirt.

Pretty impressive run at the South Beach Duals. They were so close to going undefeated. Cornell is the #24/#21 ranked team and that match could have gone either way with several close matches. I was disappointed to see Sloan lose when he could have closed the door on the dual, but then I found out how good his opponent is. Ben Darmstadt finished 6th during his freshman season and then sat out last year due to a fractured spine. Darmstadt is not ranked in some polls, but ranked as high as 3rd in the WrestleStat poll. Sloan responded to that loss by outscoring his opponents 38-0.

Daniel Vega and Tanner Cook also wrestled really well, while going undefeated. Cook knocked off two ranked wrestlers in his three matches.
