I, for one, appreciate the inside knowledge you bring to the board. If you think nobody cares about you, try missing a couple of payments.

Re: Roster Departures
A somewhat belated reminder that it's eminently preferable to discuss posts instead of posters. The frequency of personal shots seems to be rising around here.
We might at some point have to do something about that. Just a word to the wise, and I know y'all are wise . . ."I think we'll be OK"

And as I posted in that previous thread that there was a disturbing number of recruits that have left the program. I listed 9 of them and you responded: "So we should fire Bono for all these recruits leaving"? You tell me. They have eliminated many of those kids names off the previous rosters. So it's difficult to find them all. I went back on Intermat and news articles to see how many that I could find that have came and gone since 2013. The number is in excess of 25. This is in only 2 1/2 years. What does this tell you? The sport is too tough. Bono's too tough? Maybe for some, but many of these guys are still wrestling for other programs now. Bono has had a very good ability to bring in some pretty good recruits with his name. I wonder if this ability will be eroded with an ever increasing number of ex-Jack-Rabbits telling potential recruits to stay away from SDSU because of him.

Re: Roster Departures
The roster turnover isn't any different than a lot of wrestling programs. A poster on bisonville looked at the turnover of NDSU and Minnesota over the last 5 years after it was pointed out that it seemed that their roster was always young.
See post#3 from link below (I know it is frowned upon to bring discussion from other boards but this is some research on this subject).

Re: Roster Departures
All I know is SDSU lost duals to NDSU for like 10 years in a row and this year we won one. I think we wrestle them later this year in a conference dual.

It seems like the program is improving.

Re: Roster Departures
I was not referring to JJ, but to the freshman from Canada. Our current coaching staff is hard-nosed and demands a lot of our wrestlers. I believe results speak much louder than concerns about those who want to wrestle D-1 but find being in this program too difficult. BTW. congrats to the team and coaches for recent wins over UNC, SIU-E, CSU-B and Air Force!

And if you think all of these kids left because it was too tough....well you're naive.

I'm still waiting of for the list? Especially the "many" still wrestling at the D1 level."I'd like to thank the good Lord for making me a Yankee." - Joe D.
