My initial response was that we've still come a long way and this is an improvement. Then I looked at the losses at 141 and 149 and thought that if we had won those we'd had won the match 20 - 17. However, while Bengston and Ream are both young wrestlers, they were both top 100 recruits coming out of high school. Those are not bad losses.
I did find it interesting that 6 of the 10 matches had ranked wrestlers. There was a lot of quality wrestlers competing on the mat in Fargo. Both programs have improved and that is good for both programs futures. We will be winning matches like this in the future!
