Re: Sunday November 16, 2014 AT Oklahoma State

Awhile back there was talk (wasn't based on any fact just a poster initiated discussion) on this board of eliminating the wrestling program. The program was really down at that time.

I believe I posted in defense of the program saying SDSU has a chance of becoming a power in wrestling. At the time that seemed far fetched. Doesn't seem as far fetched any more. It may seem like wrestling doesn't have much of a following, but one thing about people who follow wrestling is they are very passionate about the sport. This is a sport SDSU can make some waves in at the D1 level. We start seeing some more success and you will see the fans come out.

An outstanding effort by the SDSU Jackrabbits tonight against the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Jacks win three of the 10 matches. The Jacks were without the services of 165lber Joe Brewster. Also it should be noted that True freshman David Kocer wrestled and lost a tight 7-6 decision to highly regarded Jordan Rodgers.

Good showing guys. Maybe next time we reverse the score.

I know we're not big on moral victories but that is a solid effort against the #7 team in the nation. They were 2 1 point losses away from a 20-15 score and putting a real scare into one of the nations elite teams.

Is that Danny Zilverberg's brother wrestling for SDSU at 141?
