I have to work weekends from time to time and was not able to attend either the alumni event or the wrestling match. I hope they do it in the Black Hills again.

There are a lot of very serious wrestling fans in the Black Hills region.

As for the wrestling match. Hopefully these two teams can make a Spearfish/Rapid city match a tradition. It's good exposure for both teams.

I, for one, am amazed to say I've driven that route. Beautiful country.

That was a LOOOOONG day though...left Keystone SD at about 8 am and made it to West Yellowstone MT. that night at about 10:30. Didn't anticipate 45 mph speed limits through Yellowstone....

As for the rabbit's...glad we are starting to compete better again!

I hate emotional wins, but this is close. Needless to say we have not been very competitive at the D1 level and our history against Wyoming speaks volumes. We have not been competitive with Wyoming in dual matches in recent years until this year.

    2013 L, 13-21
    2012 L, 0-45
    2011 L, 0-49
    2010 L, 9-34
    2009 L, 7-38

I'm looking forward to the next few years when we will start to compete with some of Bono's recruits. I mean no disrespect to Pickrel and Walraven, but we have not had much on the roster to compete with NCAA All-Americans since Tyler Sorenson graduated in 2010.

February should be a good month to watch wrestling as the Jacks will host 5 dual matches including against neighboring peer schools NDSU and UNI. I firmly believe that Bono can have this program competing for a Western Wrestling Conference championship in a couple of years.

From the report, the crowd was really into the match.
