I kind of understand you want to win the dual, but don't you also want to get your guys some matches to wrestle. Are not you doing a disservice to your wrestlers by not allowing them to wrestle?

There were several wrestlers on both teams who didn't get to wrestle (many times because there is no opponent). But if you can move one guy to a spot where he wins 6 points for you and wins a conference wrestling match because of it...you're going to do it. Especially if you aren't sure you will win the match by not moving him.

Totally understand what you are saying and not disputing what you are saying, but isn't wrestling more an individual sport where you want your guys to wrestle? Who cares if the team wins a head-to-head dual (except for the dual championships), isn't the purpose of the sport of wrestling to get your guys to actually wrestle? They put in so much hard work (training and cutting weight) and for them not to be able to get out on the mat is in my opinion a disservice to them.

Couldn't have said it better MR. Also when you are around these kids, you learn quickly how much they love their team, their teammates, and winning or doing good as a team in dual matches.
