Niki Lograsso named Defensive Player of the Week

Lograsso nabs Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping SDSU to a 2-1 record last week. She notched a total of 26 saves in the three matches, including 14 against Minnesota. In the 1-0 shutout over Drake, Lograsso moved into a tie for first on the Jackrabbits’ all-time shutouts list with 11. She also had a .897 save percentage on the week and now stands second all-time in school history with 205 career saves.

Congratulations to Niki...she earned it!! And congratulations to Lang and the team for a great 2-1 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes!!!

It was unfortunate that the wind was blowing so hard when we played Minnesota...as we had to battle into the wind the whole first half, and it took something out of the team. Had it been still, I think we might have beaten them too.
