  • Soccer hits midseason slump.

Well it's official the soccer team has hit their midseason slump once again. A 1-1 tie against Southern Utah, 2-1 loss to Creighton, 2-2 tie against Weber State, 3-2 loss to Iowa. Drake is up next and they are a good team. Unfortunately, the Jacks have to work their way out of the slump. Soccer is a tough sport and we have played tough teams, but we have also made some unexcusable mental errors on the field. In two of the last three games we have given up an OWN goal, a player scores a goal that is registered against his or her own team. It is usually accidental, and may be a result of an attempt at defensive play that failed or was spoiled by opponents. And that has got to stop. We got a team and a coach that is well organized and that is a dangerous mix to have.
So Rabbit fans what can we do about this Midseason slump?
    A. Nothing
    B. Pray for it to change
    C. Start discussion about bad coaching
    D. Get our butts to Fishback soccer complex Oct. 5 and 7 for two Summit League games against solid teams IUPUI and IPFW and cheer on the Jacks.

    End of Message.

Hoping to be there on the 7th with my daughter who LOVES soccer. Hopefully the ship will be righted by then.

Soccer lost Friday night at Drake 2-0, they struggled to get one shot on goal in the game. Hopefully they will get back on the winning track this next weekend.

If you got nothing to do tonight and are in the Brookings area. The SDSU soccer team takes on IUPUI at 7:00. So Rabbit fans come and cheer on the Jacks tonight.
