The Jacks advance to the women's soccer Summit League final four.
NDSU won the regular-season soccer title and hosts the Summit League semi-finals and championship matches. The Jackrabbits punched their ticket this evening in a 2-1 double-overtime win against USD at Fishback Soccer Stadium.
Tonight's match was the first Div 1 post-season soccer match between USD and SDSU.
The fourth slot for the semi-finals will be determined tomorrow in Omaha between #5 seed ORU against #4 seed Omaha (4:00 pm).
The Summit semi-finals are set for Nov 7 with SDSU playing Denver at 12 pm. The second semi-final match will be NDSU v. the winner of ORU & Omaha, at 3:30 pm.
Interesting note: In the pre-season poll, NDSU was picked to finish 7th.
