  • SDSU Broadcast Info for WNIT

As of right now if you don't have tickets your next best bet is the radio/internet.  Here is a link to SDSU's broadcast page:

P.S. if you go to the bottom of this page you can click on the pic and browse the SDSU bookstore and pick up some Jackrabbit gear if you are so inclined.

you have not been wearing the blue hat latley. I figured you didn't at the NDSU game just to protect yourself from the visitors but what really is the reason?

It disappeared after the Cal State Northridge game and hasn't been found or seen yet.

I am pretty sure that the athletic admin. is working on broadcasting the game in the VBR in the Union with SDPB. If it works they will be announcing it later today or thursday morning. That will hopefully create some more excitement with the campus and the city of Brookings with people that did not get tickets and help out with freeing up users on the webcast.

Terry V's blog said it SDPB website would support 100,000 users. I don't think we'll be able to crash that system. However, I tried to watch a few HS bball games via the webcast. The quaility was good for a while then it would be choppy and freeze up. It was very frustrating.

I think the whole point of having a place that people could watch the game together has to deal with the atmosphere of being around other SDSU fans. It would make the game a lot more fun.

I watched/broadcast the Yankton vs Aberdeen Central internet broadcast on a 108 inch projection TV. Video was acceptable but it would freeze up on occasion. Not sure if it was my laptop or the broadcast. Still an enjoyable evening for those of us in Yankton who couldn't be at the game.

How does one go about hooking a lab top up to a TV?

RGB output from laptop to RGB input on TV using a RGB cable. Now, that requires a fairly modern TV or projection device. If you have a DELL laptop you need to switch it to presentation mode (Fn F8), perhaps all PC's are like that, I don't know. Macs are a little easier (I have been told). I happen to own a LG LCD TV and a Samsung DLP, I can view my desktop or laptop on either of those and vice versa.

I believe most labtops have a S-Video hook up which you then can hook into most VCRs or newer TVs. That's what I'm going to do.

S-cable will work to, not sure that covers audio but I don't think audio will be part of the webcast anyways. I suspect the webcast will not be in sync with the radio broadcast, might be kind of awkward.

Just recieved a phone call. Cubbys in downtown Brookings is 90% sure that they will have the webcast on their big screens tonight. It is up and working right now as we speak, so there is reason to believe it will work this evening. Go Jacks.

I've decided to have the Big Dance on the tube and Jacks game on the lab top. Should work out well.
