If you've ever had a smile on your face after a student section chant just remember how you react to your own fanbase before chastizing the the behavior of opposing fans.
I'm disappointed when the SDSU fans do this. It normally doesn't happen very often but it does happen.
The one thing about this game is that USD had more fans that were using this type of language. I guess that could be understandable because the USD students that came are the hard core fans. They are normally the ones that get out of hand. The casual fan would just do some cheering or sit back and just watch.

The BS chant didn't bother me much, but I was pretty surprised when they pulled out "Screw the Jacks/F*** the Bison" late in the game. Granted the SDSU student section kind of egged them on, but I didn't hear the 4 letter chants from the SDSU section.

I was at every home football game this season and sat in our student section. I heard this chant every game. I don't condone it or join in, but unfortunately it happens.

Hopefully parents tell their little kids 'earmuffs' when it starts.

To be honest, I heard it a few times from the "adults" in the sections around my seats. Profanity isn't limited to the college kids.

I can't speak for everyone but for me the F _ _ _ the bunnies chant was long and loud and uncalled for.

Passion is fine, but cheer FOR your team. Leave the rest of the stupidity at home.

Here's the official Summit League statement on the subject: "It shall be the responsibility of each member institution to ensure that all of its students, as well as those individuals employed by or directly associated with the institution, conduct themselves in a sportsmanlike manner when representing their university, especially at intercollegiate athletic contests."

The sportsmanship policy is read before every game. Profanity is specifically mentioned. USD might want to study it a bit.

Our fans aren't saints, either. But I didn't hear anything that bad from them.

That is true that the student section was pretty well behaved, but then again it is easy to be good sports when you know you are going to win.

It was uncalled for. I was sitting near the USD section just
above the student section with my niece, a Sr. at USD. The back and forth chanting started out as the usual insults we see at many games. There was a "Milk the Cow" and a Look at the Scoreboard." When the USD section dropped the F-bomb the reaction from the crowd around me was dumb founded amazement at the stupidity.

I learned later, from my niece, that the fan bus from USD made a stop for adult beverage in SF. That may have been another poor decision.

First poor decision was deciding to go to USD.

I apologized right away, but that was a slow-pitch softball pitch that never got above 6 ft high and never fell below 4 ft.

people have been banned for smacking in a non smack section.

the fact that usd brings a fan bus to game on a monday night is sad enough.

The next hint will be in the form of a ban hammer.

Enough of the snide swipes at USD in this thread.

Before the Summit League starts thinking about policing student sections, perhaps they should get control over coaches who continously drop f-bombs loud enough that they can be heard on radio and tv broadcasts.
