Re: Umkc gdt
#249 UMKC has one quality win, vs #48 Drake, at UMKC to open the season. They had 2 home games OOC (yuck).
#164 SDSU has two quality wins, vs MTSU and Gonzaga, but those were both in the friendly confines of Frost Arena. Jacks best win non-home was in the tourney vs Charlotte (#150). Except for performances vs Summit teams, Jacks have only L to show for road games this season.
Jacks will need a complete performance and come out for 40 mins to play. UMKC can beat SDSU if Jacks play uninspired ball, ala SUU game. Jacks had the toughest OOC, and let most of the marquee games escape without a W. IMHO, Jacks are still the most likely title team, but after they lost to ORU at Brookings, they need to get all the wins they can.
Last year Jacks lost the Mon nite game that first weekend in Jan. Hope that this year's repeat will carry the same fortifying results.
Jacks 72, Roos 52.

b) I probably shouldn't share this one--even with the dozens of people expected tonight in the Swinney Recreation Center on the beautiful campus of UMKC.
It's a nasty one--the one that takes up residence in your nose and sinuses, doesn't let you breathe except through your mouth (resulting in really, really chapped lips), and threatens to break out into a really bad headache with little further warning.
Sucking down gallons of hot tea now . . ."I think we'll be OK"
