No surprise. We'll have to win our way into the top 25 again.
    Holy nutmeg!

My initial reaction: that's a bunch of b.s. But, I guess JimmyJack is right.

I thought this may be the start of everyone just recognizing that our program is one of the best. I think we suffered from lack of reputation in the referees' minds when we played Baylor last year in the tourney. Oh well, time to just roll up the sleeves and beat a few teams silly. I'm confident the Jackrabbits will do just that.

win our first 2 games & we'll be in the top 25 in a hurry.Split,& no harm done provided our "loss" is a close one.Lose both we drop some.Last yr we started the year with zero points(or 1,i can't remember),this year it's 70,that's some progress I guess.

You lose 4 seniors and probably aren't going to get the same votes as the previous years. They just have to out and prove it isn't going to be a one year thing.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

Yea were young, it maybe a good place to start the season. It is what it is, a preseason ranking, any ranking is subjective but preseason are worthless'

Gonzaga is 4 behind us with 30 votes and I noticed at #16 Arizona St. Their next game is South Dakota St. (11/15). Their first counting game our second, tough draw for both clubs.

They (Arizona St) finished 3rd in PAC-10 last year with record of 15-3 26-9, not looking ahead but this just maybe our first big test for a very young Jackrabbit club.

It's our first opportunity to knock off a ranked team, they've got some talented players out for the early season, they're ripe for an "upset".

I must correct you...our first big test will be Gonzaga as the home/season opener! Their a top-30 team.

Yes, can't overlook Gonzaga, they are very good with Bowman & Vandersloot (sp?)Jill Young lit up the scoreboard in that one at Gonzaga, they'll definatly be gaurding her close this year.

First loss for a ranked team as MSU falls to Dayton. Since MSU was ranked #10 to start, i think it'll just be a re-shuffling of the top 25.No vacancy's available yet, unless a much lower ranked team loses .
