  • Women's BB Attendance 2008-09

SDSU finished as the 44th most attended home games in the NCAA D-1. This is up from last year when we finished in 53rd place.

This year we had an average of 2,803 for each home game. As compared to 2,343 last year. Last year also included a WNIT game that had 4,699 in attendance. Without the WNIT game, we would have averaged 2,175 last year. Therefore we had a regular season increase of 628 per game as compared to last year. That is almost a 29% increase from year to year.

The Summit League finished this year as the 16th most attended league, with an average attendance of 1,025 per game. We just need a slight increase of 70 per game to move from 16th to 12th. I think a long term goal would be finishing in the top 10, which would require a league wide increase of 214 people per game.

Here is the link to this years attendance figures.

If the women can get another decent increase this year to maybe 3300 a game and NDSU improves and can increase their attendance a little, just between the two of them they can up the Summit average by 70 without any help from the rest of the league.
