  • Baylor vs. Louisville

Just thought I would start a thread in case anyone else is watching.

    UL - 38
    BU -35

10 minutes to go in the second half.

Allison just missed two free throws....I won't even go there....

Baylor cuts the lead to one. Baylor's perimeter defense has been solid and rebounding has been pretty good.

TO Mulkey at about the eight minute mark.

Louisville opening a bigger lead now. Its 44-37 with 4 minutes to go.

Baylor doesn't look like its hustling at all here and Louisville is beating them to all the loose balls. That's frustrating to see.

49-37 after an amazing lay up by Lousiville. Going to the line for one, but TO first.

Louisville set to run away here.

Baylor has scored only two points in over seven minutes. Not good for the Bears.

Two players for Lousiville have 35 of their 50 points.

baylor for two to cut it to 50-39. Two minutes to go. Timeout Baylor.

Louisville for three pushes the lead to 53-39. This one might be over folks. 1:24 to go.

They have two excellent perimeter players that are very quick. That might give us fits, but the way this game played out, I think the Jacks would have played them tough. We would have tried to force a more uptempo style than a 55-39 game. Candice Bingham and the other girl, cant think of her name are very good for Louisville.

Louisville flat out hustled Baylor and Baylor seemed like they didn't want it that badly, not saying they didn't, but they just didn't seem to have the intensity they had the other night against us.

After watching the whole game I think the Jacks would have pushed Louisville and gave em a good game. If the Jacks were on, especially from three and got the inside passes and points from the paint, Jacks win. One problem would have been if Louisville did the pressure trap like they did in the early part of the first half.

Baylor probably would have won this game if Allison would not have hurt her knees so bad jumping up and down on the sideline Tuesday night while her teammate shot her free throws.

The deeper into the tournament, the tougher the defense. For the most part, better athletes at each position. Baylor shot 24% on 2s and 9% on 3s against Louisville. Against SDSU, it was 40% on 2s and 27% on 3s. Baylor came back to earth on the free throw line shooting 61% after shooting 90% against SDSU.

And the refs let them play. This game was physical on both sides but the refs swallowed their whistles and let them go.

Seems funny when two big names play, all of a sudden all those little "touchy" fouls aren't really fouls at all.
