  • What Do You Feed These Rabbits?

TCU fan here, and I must know what y'all put in their food. Y'all (I'm from Texas) completely slaughtered us and showed that we did'nt belong in the tourney! I must say, SDSU has my 100% support from here on out. What an amazing team you guys/girls have going on.

I'll be watching you (in a non-perverted way)!!!

    Go Frogs
    and
    Fear the Rabbit

Thanks for the note Pooky. If SDSU didn't start off to such a blazing start, the game might have been different. These women have been playing great this year and they are fun to watch. Good luck next year to TCU.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

SDSU will be searching to fill their OOC with post-season teams next year. I hope that TCU considers joining Utah with a visit to Brookings in Nov/Dec.

Yes, bring the Frogs to Brookings in December. Don't worry...we play hoops indoors. : )
Grumbling along and embracing my role. If I didn't care, I wouldn't care. Go Jacks!

It's not the food so much as it is lots of time with a basketball hoop. I was talking with my dad after the game last night, and he pointed out "all these girls had hoops in their driveways, and you only need one person to play basketball."

What happened was, right off the bat, TCU gave South Dakota State too much room to shoot. If you give our players 2-3' of space at the perimeter, they will hit 50% or better because these kids grew up shooting all by themselves when they weren't at practice.

Practice at SDSU has given them all the ability to catch and shoot.

And that's about it. Once they got that lead, it was over.

Since it is game day it is time for a little confident boasting.

Another thing is the open gyms... how many of us growing up in South Dakota can track many a night spent in the local gyms playing pick-up games...

I used to love it when our girls would take on the guys.. I still fondly remember as an freshman faking out our big senior he was something like 6'4 and I am 5'3 if I stretch... and going in for an easy lay-up.

I maybe spent more hours in a gym than most because my dad was a coach, but I wasn't the only one there by any stretch there were usually 15-30 people hanging around..

There was always someone to play a game of horse, two-bounce.. etc. Kill the carrier basketball style..

I think all of that time in the gyms translates over the the basketball knowledge that our state has. While we may not produce the "TOP" talent in the country we produce some of the best players... there is a difference..
