    Re: TV schedule for Tuesday

    For the record:

My ESPN2 guide from 8-10:30 says this:

"Live second round action in Baton Rouge (Louisv at LSU); Bowling Green, Ky (Ball St vs. Iowa St); Lubbock, Texas (South Dakota State vs. Baylor); and Iowa City, Iowa (Georgia Tech vs. Oklahoma)"

      Re: TV schedule for Tuesday

This from Terry's story in the Argus online today:

"The game begins at 8:40 this evening and is broadcast on ESPN2's standard definition channel."

That is correct TeaJack. It appears it will be the same way tonight.

          Re: TV schedule for Tuesday

Charter.net still shows women's basketball live from Lubbock, Texas at 8:30 tonight on ESPNU, so I'm hoping. If there was any mention of the Jacks on the whip around coverage on Sunday, I missed it. And that would include any mis-speaks by Terd Wonka.

Hopefully, a good game against Baylor -- the 2 seed -- will give us some more coverage than a blowout of a ten seed. I imagine most of the neutral fans across the country didn't care to watch a game that was over shortly after it started.

I'm in one of the black states on the map. Can I avoid the whip around coverage if I bribe my local bartender at a Full Court-subscribed bar and talk him/her into tuning into DirecTV channel 722 (or Dish 457)?

                  Re: TV schedule for Tuesday

According to ESPN's phone information center the game tonight on ESPNU at 930 will be Georgia Tech- Oklahoma. So if they keep doing it the way they have been ,we not in South Dakota or Texas may get stuck with that game on ESPN2 also. Hopefully not, but I will have audio on gojacks.com on as a backup.

Logic says we should be on since powerhouses such as UWGB are gone and we are playing the #2 seed...

91, according to the ESPN website you won't have full SDSU coverage in MN. You will have the same coverage that the rest of the country (excluding SD and TX) have and that is what they are calling whip around. In other words they will jump from game to game. Yesterday in TV's live chat he did mention that Doupple(sp) the summit commish may try and get ESPN to include MN in the regional coverage of SDSU. Haven't heard if he was able to get that done. You may have to find someplace with a "full court" subscription if you want to see the whole game.

No,(unless you have a dish, then I don't know) but I (and maybe my wife too depending on if grandma can watch the kids) will be at Buffalo Wild Wings to watch the game. The game will not be on Charter.

Again, if you live in South Dakota you will get the entire game on ESPN2. This is what Terry V. is referring to. Those of us that don't live in SD or Texas will not necessarily see the game live on ESPN2. So the discussion is, whether those of us in Minnesota will be lucky enough to pick up the game live?

As noted above, I think you're stuck with the rolling coverage. My advice to you is hit your local FullCourt-equipped bar, pretend the bartender is your least-favorite Binnewies R.A., and tell him that he WILL TUNE THE SDSU-BAYLOR GAME ONTO THE BIGSCREEN!
