It's certainly one of the top achievements or recognition of achievement. That kind of recognition on the national stage is impressive and well deserved.

Was up in the AD offices when this was announced this afternoon. Everyday as a Jackrabbit keeps getting better.

Coach Stig's nomination, and Berry's nomination for national awards were prestigious, but this tops them both.

Realistically, the award is basically Auriemma's to lose, but man that is some select company. Two #1 seeds (OU & UConn) and a #2 (Auburn)

Tonight's (March 19) Watertown Public Opinion reported AJ's nomination for the Naismith Coach of the Year (AP story). Above the headline was the notation: MAJOR COLLEGE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL.

Got that right!
