Anybody have any info? Any idea if there is a hotel associated with the tourney? Anybody know where the team is staying? I'm checking on things now.

    Hello!

Texas Tech Lady Raider fan here.

Here is a link to a topic on our message board with some info.

    A local wrote this:

The Staybridge Suites at 19th & University is nice. It's right across from campus. The newest hotels close to Tech are the Hawthorne Suites at Marsha Sharp Freeway & just SW of Quaker Ave. (next to the Grace Clinic), the La Quinta Inn & Suites at North Loop 289 between Slide Rd & Quaker Ave. (near Lubbock Heart Hospital).

There is a new Hampton Inn & Suites out on SW Loop 289 which is next to Joe's Crab Shack and Cavanders. Next to them are The Arbor Inn (nice), Marriott Towneplace (nice) and the Homewood Suites (nice).

There is a new Quality Inn & Suites at 34th & West Loop 289. The Embassy Suites at Slide and S. Loop 289 is nice too.

Avoid the hotels on Ave Q. Trust me.

    Hope this helps.
A few hotels near campus would include the Lubbock Inn and the LaQuinta-Medical Center. More on the south and west Loop 289. More restaurants near the hotels on the the south Loop. Loop 289 is not close to the campus but Lubbock isn't that big and it is easy to get around. Streets are in numerical order running east/west and alphabetic order running north/south. The United Spirit Arena is on Indiana Ave (that section of streets are named for US locations in alpha order). Where else should basketball be played?

Lubbock is also the only city with a freeway named for a women's basketball coach. So you will be in good company there.

Welcome to the hub city on the South Plains! Hope you enjoy your trip and have a productive tournament. Look forward to seeing the Jacks on Sunday AND Tuesday.

When Big 12 teams come for games I've seen them stay at the Embassy Suites or the Holiday Inn Park Plaza both on S. Loop 289.

I've checked with the Embassy, Homewoods, and Townplace all booked. Teams may be staying in them, not sure. Having a hard time finding other hotels with true suites, i.e. separate bedroom.

Yell loud for me, Doc, I'm stuck in KC (getting my shoulder 'scoped next Wednesday AM, and can't make the schedule work).

Should be back for the Regionals, though!

Booked rooms at the Ashmore Inn and Suites. Looks pretty nice. Able to get a suite with a separate bedroom and pull out sofa in the living area for $90/night, not bad.

Hopefully the scope goes well. I hope to make at least one of the regional games as well.

I always yell loud, sometimes too loud. Ask the NDSU fan in front of me in SF and he'll tell you.
