    Re: Jenn Warkenthien All American

SDSU & Jenn sure have been getting good press from the ESPN crew.Charlie seeding them in the tournament, Grahm Hays so high on Jenn as a top player in the country.I'm really impressed that someone who knows basketball talent, & has seen first hand plenty of the top players in the country, is so impressed with Jenns play.I guess I'm impressed that he's impressed.Maybe comming from him some of the voters will pay more attention to her now, that would be really cool.

Besides Auriemma, AJ would have a really good shot at coach of the year.

"She's also only playing 26.2 minutes per game for a team beating opponents by an average of more than 18 points a game. Project her numbers over 40 minutes and you get averages of: 23.3 points, 13.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists, with 39 percent shooting behind the arc." Best stat from the article. How many of the other players listed for All-American can say she does it in 26 minutes.

Included in the comment section of the article on ESPN.com is a post from an Oakland fan (oldweevil):

"Jennifer Warkenthien belongs on the list. I'm an Oakland fan and she's by far the best player I've seen in our league. She's the best player on the best team in our league, a team that is a lock for the NCAA tournament regardless of whether or not they win the league tournament. When's the last time a Summit League school was a lock for an at-large bid?

South Dakota State probably wouldn't be either if it wasn't for her. She's that good. And if you put her on any of the other teams in the top 25, she'd still be that good."

        Very nice comment oldweevil.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--
