IUPUI Game Thread - Fall of the Giant Jags

SDSU absolutely handed Jags their own head at Frost last month, as the first game after Oakland @ Oakland. 45-19 at half, and 96-49 final. Every Jack played 10+ min, and no one over 25 min. 11 of 12 scored, and 6-5 heavyweight Jill Whitted was a frustrated, snarly cat who earned a T at the end.

A repeat of last game vs Jags would be good.

Predict Jacks, 86-Jags 53 in front of 300 audience (less than tenth of attendence for SDSU-IUPUI Frost game).

Remember, Eastern Time start of 7PM so enjoy supper, gnash on a Rabbit Brat, and cheer Jacks on from a far.

I expect a MUCH closer game tonight. IUPUI got embarrassed last time out (the unfortunate victim of scheduling, being the first game after the Oakland loss).

The Jags will give it all, and a bit more. Jacks will need to match the effort and energy.

Not to mention their top scorer (Cann?) will be back in the line up. Also, they just revenged the big loss to NDSU, and will be looking to do the same tonight to the Jacks.

I hope the girls bring their game tonight.

Jacks won't double 'em up again, that's for sure.

But I don't know how close the game will be either. I don't think it'll be Warkenthien's night. Whited's too big, and isn't likely to get more calls against her in Indy than she got in Brookings.

I think it's going to come down to the Jacks perimeter game. If the Jacks get hot outside the 3 point line, it won't be close. If they don't, well it'll be close until the 2nd half.

If memory serves, IUPUI's not a great team on perimeter defense.

Physical yes. Hope a better start for the Jacks than sat. Run and tire them out especially Witted. Close first half but the defense of the Jacks will wear them out in the second. Rabbits by 12 to 16

21-15 Jacks up defense getting a little lax. Going at Witted and getting around her. Jacks also with a fairly quick pace.

If your watching you know, if not the foul calls are definately going against the Jacks. getting called for everything while jags are getting away with a lot. 29 24 Jacks 430 to go
