Do I see hostility towards an extinct and troubled animal here. If it weren't for human hunting and global warming a few thousand years ago, these majestic animals would be roaming about in some of our finest zoos around the world right now. And the folks at PETA would be calling them large woolly hamsters. Because hamsters are cute and cuddly and shouldn't be hunted for food and sport.
