Number 2 should not be an option. 1 and 3 are both very impressive. I have to say I am more surprised by number 3.

Results copied from site when I voted a couple of minutes ago. These results look about right to me.

Which area college basketball team's recent surge impresses you the most?

SDSU Women - ranked in top 25 91.67%
            USD Men - 12-game win streak 0%
Augie Men - First place in Northern Sun 8.33%

I think one could make the argument that SDSU's first couple of years were too rough and discouraged the team but this is just ridiculous.

My memories were of the USD teams of the early sixties, which, except for Jack Theeler weren't really good but did load up on very tough schedules. Decembers were brutal, if I remember correctly, much tougher than SDSU's schedule at that time.

One could thank Woonsocket native (as am I, not that there's much left there any more) Duane Clodfelter, who if I remember correctly, retired with a low winning percentage but his honor in tact.

Clodfelter was quite a character. I think in his obituary there was a story of his coaching days in Forestburg. He bagged a pheasant out of the classroom window. The superintendent came running in, asking about the "explosion", to which Cloddy said "Don't know, I'd check down in the chem lab if I was you".

The present schedule is a disgrace to his memory.

I just had to check again today (and vote one more time). We have increased the tally. Nice work, Jacks fans.

Augie Men - First place in Northern Sun 3.95%
                  USD Men - 12-game win streak 1.32%

Too bad the poll doesn't keep track of how many total people voted.
Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!--Bluto--

I'm suprised Craig Mattick isn't stuffing the ballot box with his great KWSN powers for him and Stu's favorite red and white team.

I agree...I was wondering if they would accurately report the results. I'm thinking they mysteriously will never reveal the final statistics as it doesn't involve mangy pups or Dak. Wesleyan Baseball or whatever else they're talking about. I'm sure if it was USF table tennis it would make the afternoon show.
