  • Good press for the Rabbits

Stu Durando at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch:
The opening months of the season revealed an abundance of women's basketball teams that have exceeded expectations but maybe none more than South Dakota State of the Summit League.

The Jackrabbits are 12-1 and have cracked the top 25 for the first time in program history at No. 24, making them arguably the biggest surprise during nonconference play.

Barring a collapse in conference, the question doesn't appear to be whether they will make the NCAA Tournament, but how high a seed they can achieve. And this is the first year South Dakota State is eligible.
    More there. Go. Read. Enjoy.

It will be interesting to see how Gonzaga does against Tennessee. We beat Gonzaga by 14, but they kept it close most of the game. Will the Vols dominate, or can Gonzaga hang tough?

Better yet, can Zags pull the upset on home court? That would be super for the Jacks! (Sorry Snookums, but this is a real potential boost for the RPI of Jacks).
