In addition to the coach/referees, the assigned timekeeper will be replaced by University of Minnesota coach Pamela Borton. Borton also will be responsible for reviewing video replays to confirm whether shots are made before or after the end of the first half or the game. “We’re giving her a little card to use if that comes up that says ‘Clock, then buzzer, then light,’ so we think she’ll be fine,” said Struckhoff. “Just to be sure, though, we’ve asked Aaron Johnston from South Dakota State to sit at courtside and remind Pam of the rule.”

I had to laugh at this one, cause the official score will always read 59-58 in favor of SDSU.

Good post.

I'm looking forward to seeing Minnesota's Media Guide next year and see if they place an asterisk next to that score (or a footnote etc.)  

The next time the Jackrabbit play the Gophers, you can bet the pregame show will include some references like the following..."and the last contest between the teams ended in a controversial...."  You can hear it now!  That means we'll have to beat them worse next time.
