Started a thread over at AGS, if you'd like to add details. Work limits my ability to view sports/athletics, so extra info would be great additions.

A follow up article by Terry discussing various things with AJ in a Q&A format:

Fasten your seatbelts for another WNIT ride

South Dakota State women's basketball coach Aaron Johnston was still smiling Tuesday from the night before, when his team earned the regular-season Summit League title on the basis of Western Illinois' loss at Oakland. We caught up with him during a scouting trip:

      Q. Would you rather have clinched the title by beating Centenary at home this Saturday?

      A. I've got no problem with the way it happened. None at all.
      Q. Is this one of your most satisfying seasons because of hurdles your team faced, such as losing Megan Vogel and various injuries?

      A. It's satisfying because things weren't easy for this group. They had to find their identity, battle injuries, and we were in a whole new conference. All those things made this year a good challenge.
      Q. Vogel was not only your best player last year, but a fiery leader as well. How important was it to fill that void?

      A. We talked about it at the start of the year, but it's not like we had a major discussion. Our two seniors, Courtney (Grimsrud) and Andrea (Verdegan), are very different players than Megan and lead in a different way. They found a good niche that worked for them.

      Q. Though you've sealed a WNIT bid, you won't find out until March 17 whether SDSU hosts a first-round game. You've got to like your chances, right?
