Re: WIU in Brookings, Sat. Feb. 9

I'm still planning to get to the games, although the weather doesn't look good. The blizzard watch has been downgraded to a winter weather advisory. Anybody know what time the pork barbeque starts?

A little snow and wind should not be enough to keep any Jacks fan away from this double header. So much at stake for both the men and women. First, the men need a win in the worst way. A win in front of a nice crowd will do wonders for the attitude of the team and fans. The women not only can get seperation from the balance of the league but put themselves in a position to win the league in our first year - remarkable! A summit league championship would not only get us into the WNIT but likely a host for a round or two. After last years support and success I think we would be a shoe in for home games?
Let's see: BBQ pork, the ambience / aroma in frost, double header in conference, meaningfull games: Priceless!

Just talked to Ketty's Mom and sounds like the women are ready to put the conference away. They really want to get it done tonight...

Not trying to argue but I will make a point. My wife isn't excited about strapping the 6 year old, 4 year old, and 18 month old into the van to make the drive 4 hour roundtrip in possible blizzard conditions. I've got patients to take care of in the morning so the option to spend the night isn't an attractive one. However, at this moment the plan is to make the trip north, even if we get to Sioux Falls and have to call it quits there we can get some shopping done. It is a bonus that the pork barbecue will be available. The food at Frost is otherwise pretty much horrible. Except for the ice cream, of course.

JackMD...posted this over on the men's but weather in Brookville isn't bad at all. Wind is blowing, some ground drifting but nothing that will affect the roads, and wind projected to start subsiding by mid-afternoon, but will still be blowing in the mid-20s. Otherwise, it's just a bright sunny day up here.

My wife just got back to Sioux Falls from Brookings. Roads were OK, wind is strong, but not as strong as when she went up. Driveway here is probably going to have the snowblower go over it as it is filling up.

As of right now, we are headed north this afternoon. Quick stop in Sioux Falls and then to directly to Frost arena. Anyone have suggestions for a good place to get some quality, everyday dress shoes in Sioux Falls?

Kohls. The have quite a wide selection of styles, but finding your size can sometimes be a problem if you are cursed with a popular size.

Just got back from ESD wrestling. Not as bad as when I went in at 10:30. See the forcast lowered the wind velocity a little. I am heading for the can and then loading the Jeep and heading north. See ya at the game and as always, Go Jacks!!

Weather is fine but patients didn't cooperate. Just got home, not going to make it north. Summit TV here I come.

Game's going, 5-4 Jacks up at first media TO.

Lots of turnovers so far for as short of time that has been played.

Macie Michelson pumps in 2 3's in a row, and WIU calls timeout quickly

                            11-4 Jacks up

Nice start for the Jacks, they lead 13-4 with 12 min left in half.

Keep the lead growing this half Ladies! We saw how to it is to come back @ WIU.

Now up 19-6 with about 10 min left in 1st half.
