ROOKINGS, S.D. — South Dakota State returns to the home floor Saturday afternoon, looking to extend one of the longest current home winning streaks in Division I women’s basketball against Summit League opponent Southern Utah.
Tipoff of the annual Corduroy Classic recognizing FFA in the state of South Dakota is set for 5 p.m. at Frost Arena. The game is part of a doubleheader with the men’s game between SDSU and Southern Utah slated to start at 7:30 p.m.
The Jackrabbits enter the matchup with an 11-6 overall record, including a 4-2 mark in Summit League play. SDSU is 7-0 at home this season, extending its winning streak at Frost Arena to 15 games. SDSU is one of four teams currently holding a 15-game home-court winning streak, joining Georgia, Penn State and Wyoming with the fifth-longest active streak in Division I.
Southern Utah holds a 3-13 overall record. The Thunderbirds are 1-4 in league play.
