Next up for the Jackrabbits: the Wisconsin Badgers in Madison, WI.
Wisconsin was 23-13 last year but finished the season with a trip to Laramie, WY, for the WNIT Championship game, won by host Wyoming, 72-56. (The same Wyoming team which stopped the Jackrabbit run in the WNIT, 70-59...nearly the same margin of victory in the Wyoming v. Wisconsin game.)
The Badgers lost one starter to graduation but return four starters and several other experienced players.
Last meeting between the Jackrabbits and the Badgers: December 8, 2005, in Madison when SDSU defeated Wisconsin 68-65. It's the only time the two schools have met for a women's basketball game.
Let's keep the record unblemished: going for win #2 against Wisconsin!!
