It's a Q1 win discussion. The quads are now set up in a way that puts you into a list of haves / have nots. Richmond got their Q1 win and was placed accordingly. SDSU and Creighton do not have those Q1 wins and were treated as such.

This is all just going to come down to non con scheduling, and the ORU situation means ORU is no longer providing SDSU with the team's only conference q3 wins. Hope NDSU rises to the occasion in a big way.

I like to use WVU because they've been as low as 12 but average in the 14-16 range. It took them until February to pick up their first Q1 win. They're the perfect example of a team who was in pre-season polls and kept their ranking because they didn't really lose.

#16 and #17 team in the nation being given a 6 (in the seed list they're the last 6 seed - #24) and 7 Seed (3rd 7 seed - #27). At the end of the day, resume matters, not AP placement/votes earned throughout the year

I will post this year's seed list in the NET thread. Below image courtesy of rebkell board reflects AP poll with seeding

and there ya go! you nailed it OH!!

there should NEVER be a game between ranked teams in the first round of the NCAA tournament!! any ranked team should be a 6 seed or better, maybe a couple end up as 7 seeds. even if they think someone is really overrated and deserves to be dropped, you should NOT be able to have a team ranked in the top 25 in BOTH main polls below an 8 seed

and if that was the case it would be completely impossible for ranked teams to play in the first round. and obviously anyone associated with the Jacks should be pointing this out through the proper channels, BUT more than that OSU should also be screaming about this!! they go out and have an excellent season and get themselves ranked in the top 20 to finish the season. their reward should be getting to play a team ranked somewhere in the neighborhood of FORTY in the nation but instead they get a team that has been nationally ranked for a month!!

i am not saying today is a guaranteed win for the Jacks. OSU is a good team, OBVIOUSLY, based on finishing ranked in the top 20, but I do think the Jacks are the better team- maybe by just a bit, or in our case you could say by a hare))

I think if these two teams played a bunch of 10 game series, I think the Jacks win just a bit more than 6 of 10. I truly believe the Jacks are better than every 7 seed in the tourney. again that is NOT saying they automatically win today or win every game against those teams
