I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but I hope everyone realizes how ridiculously stupid the success of our women's basketball team is.
This is NOT easy. They just make it look easy. 3 straight seasons undefeated in conference play? Unheard of.
12 Conference Tournament championships since 2009.
What AJ and crew have done, for the long haul, is unprecedented, and will NOT be equaled again. You just don't "do" this sort of thing. It's not normal. Go ask our "friends" in the South how easy it is to keep winning year after year after year...

if they did get in the WNIT could they host? well NOT if anyone looks at ANY video of any of their home games WOW. it is a total crock that they whine about the SLT being in Sioux Falls. just because they are used to playing in an empty arena, does not mean that the league should throw away one of the highest attended WBB tournaments in all of the NCAA. they could get to host simply by paying for it with the highest bid. that does happen. just pick out a game this year. pick a WNIT game on the East coast- probably worst of all in the Northeast. I am sure there will be games with less than 1000 people in the stands and that would be the same thing that would happen in Tulsa
so anyway, their team is very good and very deserving of the praise they get!! but as far as deserving to host anything?? their attendance is complete garbage!!Comment

and as you say it is not just this team, as in one year, this team (program) does it year after year after year after...
they are GREAT students!! they are always one of the best teams in the entire NCAA for team GPA
they are just wonderful kids-
tell me how many of these players have EVER been difficult to cheer for in ANY way?? it is as close to zero as it could possibly be!! they are fun and happy. they clearly love each other and love playing with and for each other!! they smile. they give the best interviews in all of college sports. they literally should give classes on how to act and what to say when dealing with the media!!
we could go on and on about all the reasons to love this team and this program and how blessed we are with what they give us literally EVERY year
99.99% of the credit goes to the Players and the Coaches!! thanks to them for everything they do to represent the school and Jacks alums everywhere!!
and the other bit of credit does go to the fans and Jackrabbit nation! look what I just wrote about ORU and attendance. Imagine AJ going into a living room and telling kids that they are going to play EVERY home game in front of a BIG and passionate crowd vs what the other coaches in the Summit have to offer? and it is NOT just other Summit schools who play in empty arenas-
teams can find plenty of ways to lie about the numbers. corporate sponsors can buy up tickets and help sales, but go look at the games. LOTS of SEC WBB teams play in mostly empty arenas and there are plenty of teams all over the country who would die to have fan support like our WBB and all teams have. so we do our part to help-
but the rest of the credit for this amazing UNBELIEVABLE run goes to the players and coaches!!Comment

The Brad Peterson/Scotty Kwas Courtside Cam audio/video is on youtube including the postgame show w/ interviews of all the players. A few nice notes from this one:
Canine Country Club (20:25 timestamp), who has a partnership with the women's team (12/11/24 wbb tweet), had a commercial, which was immediately followed by Brooklyn Meyer (20:57) doing a read for a the Grand Falls Casino & Golf Resort in Larchwood IA. The latter was the sponsor for the Courtside Cam.
WBB twitter page also announced a partnership with Blu Salon + Spa on March 7th, and I've seen some twitter posts about Haleigh and Brooklyn with Buffalo Wild wings, as mentioned by others previously. Anyone aware of other direct sources?Comment

I was happy I got to hear Kallie but I will be happy to hear it again. I mention it fairly often how great this team is with the media. kallie is one of the very best ever. she gives such a great interview. she is well spoken!! intelligent!! humble!! I am so so happy for Kallie to have been awarded the Scholar Athlete SLT Award! CONGRATULATIONS!! she has been through a lot and she sounded like it was a NO BRAINER for her to come back for this year. she just wanted to spend another year with her teammates
in the final game or the semi final, the announcers said she would start for a lot of teams in the league. i very much believe she starts for EVERY team outside of the Jacks. the ONLY 2 where that is a maybe are ORU and NDSU, but I think both of those teams would benefit in a HUGE HUGE way from her defense. Udomoh was a small forward when she came to ORU. they made her a post and she has done a good job for them, but it was done because they have nobody with size who is good enough to be on the floor. Kallie is one of the best defensive players we have EVER had. she is extremely underrated. I honestly think that both Brooklyn and Mesa have improved on defense because they have had the chance to play with and watch and learn from Kallie. perhaps all the injury battles have robbed us from getting to see what PEAK Kallie could have looked like, but she is a great player and a far far better person
and her offense is finally starting to look very acceptable. she is definitely playing her best basketball of the year!! she is SO SO GOOD on defense. she switches screens and guards players like T Jones and Oglesby and she gives NOTHING!! I do not believe there is a single other post in the league who can switch screens and guard GOOD guards as well as ANY of Kallie, Mesa, and Brooklyn do it!!Comment
