  • GDT: SDSU vs Denver 7pm FB&T Arena Midco/SLN Pink Game

The Pios come to Brookings with a conference record of 1-13. The Pios have shot 43% of the field goal attempts from 3 point length with 29% success. A quick look at the conference stats find that the Pios have a slight advantage in steals. The Jackrabbits should have time to try some new things today. The pink jerseys will be auctioned after the game for cancer research. Go Jacks!!

SDSU is teaming up with the Kaw Vow Cancer Fund to host a Play4Kay game. Over the next two years SDSU will raise $25k through the jersey auctions, and the Kay Vow Cancer Fund will match that. The $ will be used to help purchase a new mammogram machine for the Brookings area, and the old machine will be send to a high-need community

I had no idea about Play4Kay movement (vision from former NC State coach Kay Yow) as I was watching the NC State/Duke game from earlier this month, but I guess there's been an annual game on ESPN for the past 2 decades. During this past game the celebration segment they did lasted like 15 minutes without them going to commercial

well that's not good. I tuned in late to the pregame show. Anyone know if it was mentioned?

from Eisen "The standout freshman is moving around on crutches after injuring an ankle in practice earlier this week. She is considered day-to-day."

If i was in AJ's shoes, I would really be focusing this week and all remaining pre ncaa games on coming out fast. i fully believe that we are getting the best shot that every opponent has to give and I think that is a big part of the common early deficits. that said, I really dont want the team accepting the habit of being in an early hole. that is a plan that very likely does not work well for us vs an NCAA tourney opponent.

I dont know what that means exactly? something different in warmup? some different set plays to force certain players to get going early? Paige for one has been a much better player and shooter in the second half of summit league games. I feel like maybe I would like to see at least 2 out of 3, Paige, Timmie, and Maddie M get a good take to the hoop early and hopefully see the ball go through the net. I feel like all of them shoot from outside better if they can get something in the paint first

Vaseka appears to be wearing warmup pants...don't think she's going to see the floor tonight.
I have the men's game on computer, WNAX and Tyler on the radio, and the women's game on TV. I may have to open a mid-week beer.

Hopp and Colbeck get some early minutes with Vasecka out and Theisen in foul trouble.

Vlastuin has also made the best of the additional minutes she has played. Some excellent passes that allowed others to get assists.

Nice win, I think the Jacks could lay it off the glass a little softer and maybe get a few more to roll in

Someone tried a same-side-of-the-glass pseudo reverse late (not sure who), and it was a great idea but was way too strong up at the glass. Looked cool though.

I think you might be referring to Hopp. She made a couple nice moves to the rim and wasn't able to convert them.

Hopp driving to basket for layups would be signature move for her. She is a strong player who can endure contact.
