And we have all those fresh legs on the bench Make her work all 40 minutes.

I don't have a real problem with the game plan. They said that our post game would not beat them and clogged the lane. They did not guard Paige all game unless she had the ball in her hands. She just has to hit a few more wide open shots or sub somebody in that is hot. If Grace sits in the lane all game, that gives them more players down low for defense and a better rebounding edge. When Paige has the ball in her hands is when Grace comes out and guards her. You have to feed the ball down low more then.

I also agree with pushing the pace more if we play the again. They will be in the 4/5 game so they should have to play their starters most of that game. The short bench and back to back games will hurt them.

I would like to see the as the six seed so they would have to challenge ORU, NDSU and then see what is left if they get to Sunday. I do not see that happening but it would be fun.

It would be interesting to see if playing some zone might slow Larkins down. They consistently run high ball screens with Larkins, and get one of our bigs guarding her. A zone might reduce her ability to get to the basket. Forcing her to shoot jump shots is a win.

Or...hear me out...we just stick with the defense and game plan that made her take 22 shots to get her 23 points?

We did slow her down as has been referenced 23 pts on 22 attempts. If our defense has not been as good at slowing her and making her work she could have easily gone for 30+. She was sufficiently contained most of the game and our various on ball, switched an help defenders really made it difficult for her.

In the second half, SDSU just hedged with their bigs while the primary defender went under the screen. Once the primary defender got around the screen, they switched back. I think the post could of hedged more but who knows if Larkins just dribbles into them and they get cheap fouls. That seemed to work much better than switching on every screen all game.
