  • GDT: Jackrabbits vs bison 7pm Scheels Center SLN

The Jackrabbits visit Fargo tonight with an opportunity to get a 2 game lead on NDSU. It would be a step closer to clinching another conference champion banner. HC Collins has assembled a longer and more athletic squad in his 6th year. This is likely going to be very physical and competitive tonight. The last win for the bison was Macy Miller's freshman year playing at Fargo. The Jackrabbits need to keep this winning streak in place. Go Jacks!!

NDSU is certainly trying to promote this to draw a larger crowd tonight. Should be a competitive game. Toughest road contest of the conference year for us. I think a lot of the game will come down to how it’s called and how NDSU shoots from the perimeter. We will see if it’s like the third quarter in Brookings but hopefully not!

I am looking forward to seeing how our team handles this game. GoJacks2011 is right this is the biggest road contest of the season. I hope they can handle it well and put themselves in comfortable position for another conference title.

It should be a good matchup. Jory has built the Bison to resemble the Jacks. They are long and have had a strong post game all season. Lentz and Frost have improved as the season has gone on and are starting to give them an outside game. If they can knock down 3's they are dangerous since Draper and Koenen will get their's down low. I would like to see us push the tempo a bit and get some transition buckets because the strength of the Bison is half court defense. They also struggle with turnovers so getting a bit more tempo and throwing some double teams on their guards to speed them up and get them out of rhythm might be a sound strategy.

So far looks like officials are going to let them play. Physical game as expected. Fast paced.

No slow start tonight. Jacks playing hard and dominating the defensive end. All of NDSU’s FG have been threes. Jacks rebounding well too. We will see if we can maintain that level of play for 40 min now.

Keonen is probably their best player. Did we recruit her?

Izzo seems to suggest so, but maybe he really wanted to underscore 'Yote interest by naming "South Dakota and USD"

second time Paige went down. first one was that 1st or 2nd q tie up and may have taken a swinging elbow

Thankfully NDSU can’t hit anything for now as we have not come out as strong this half. We haven’t scored a FG since the middle of the second quarter now. Giving up a lot of rebounds now too.

NDSU tried to make a run but Paige helped turn the momentum back around. Crazy stat: points in the paint, SDSU - 28, NDSU- 0.

NDSU took their starters out with 1:30 left and AJ put the rest of SDSU's starters in.
Paige couldn't shoot in the first half but she had a great game.
NDSU might be a load to handle next year. Their seniors ony scored 5 points.
NDSU's 5 offensive rebounds in the first 4 minutes of the second half. That made me wonder how the rebounding battle would end. SDSU only got out rebounded by 4 in the second half.
I was also worried when SDSU had 5 fouls 4 minutes into the second half, too. They only had 1 foul in the last 6 minutes.

KV also missed 3 easy bunnies to add to your line
