  • GDT: SDSU vs UND 7pm Betty Engelstad Sioux Center Midco/SLN

The Jackrabbits have the rematch with the FHawks in Grand Forks. They certainly will be aware of the home court advantage and the women will need to avoid the demise the Jackrabbit MBB experienced. UND has a solid young roster with a few upper classmen. PG Schiller is a more than serious contender for the SL freshman awards. Sophomore Pemberton is leading the team in scoring and rebounds. The Jackrabbit defense will likely be an emphasis from the beginning to bottle up the FHawks. UND will bring their best as every SL team attempts to stop the streak of the Jackrabbits. Extend the streak! Go Jacks!!

(Reminder..Timmer will reach 1000 points with her next field goal or 2 free throws.)

Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

I really hope that the SDSU women don't play like the men up there. SDSU's posts should put up much better numbers. Two great seniors, a junior that was POY for the conference last year and a freshman that is a match-up nightmare (she is tall, athletic and can shot the 3).
The men lost all 5 starters (unless you count Gerry) from last year. They play 2-seniors, 1-junior, 1-sophmore and freshmen.
The women have 8 players that have started for them before. They play 4-seniors, 4-juniors and 2-freshmen.

It would be easier to compare UND's women to SDSU's men. Both teams have many young players that have a lot of talent.
I'm not saying that the women can't lose but this year might be one of their best years.
The men will really miss Cluff (that guy is a stud) but there are tons "ifs" for them.

I hope SDSU doesn't mess with the zone, too much, if the game is close. They seem to lose ground most of the time they play that.

Both teams on the struggle bus offensively. UND really doesn't want Brooklyn to get the ball.

Jacks getting good looks but everything is bouncing out and not falling. Brooklyn with two early fouls.

That second foul was one of the worst calls I've seen in awhile.

Vaseka being 0-6 describes how the first half is going for our whole team. Brooklyn struggling to get any offense going. Lucky to only be down single digits.

                I agree.

Boy, there is a lot of game left but SDSU's big are being neutralized so far.

We are switching every screen in their motion offense and getting caught in a lot of mismatches .

also just throwing this out there, I didn't see male practice players in the team practice images on twitter this afternoon. what if it was that easy? obviously not sure what they do on gameday. just walk throughs?

The stat that worries me is that without Byom, SDSU is 3-26 from the floor.

Back to Jacks basketball this quarter. Lots of great defensive plays and UND turnovers. Brooklyn finally got going. Outscoring them 21-3 this quarter.
