First year HC Eighmy has the yotes at 3-3. They are on a 2 game losing streak after playing UND & NDSU. Larkins is the lead player as she is clocking 38.5 minutes/game in conference play. She is the leading player with 29ppg, 11.7 rpg, & 5+ apg in conference play. Larkins will be the main event for the yotes. The yotes normally have trouble getting their share of rebounds with 9.7 deficit on the boards in conference. The rivalry game should bring a crowd to Vermillion. There were plenty of tickets available yesterday. The Jackrabbits should be prepared for the Larkins attack. Go Jacks!!

As far as the game, they’ve really struggled this year under the new coaching staff. Larkins is putting up crazy numbers but having to take a lot of shots to do so. Not much production at all around her. They will struggle against our size.

It will be interesting to see how USD approaches this game. On offense they like to run 5 out and let Larkins get downhill. Their secondary option on offense is to run 5 out and let Larkins get downhill and then kick it out…. They don’t even try to rebound on offense and want to get back and set up on defense.
Defensively they are undersized and can be abused down low. Against NDSU they ran mainly MtM but shifted to zone when Larkins was in foul trouble. I could see them packing in a zone if Brooklyn starts to get cooking against them.
Overall it seems like a really positive matchup for us. Get Larkins into foul trouble and they have no chance. I would like to see Vasecka keep cooking and getting more confidence in being a go to offense player. But feed the posts and kick out for 3’s if they crash a double team.

12:05 AJ responding to Grace question. sounds like question is from Jay Eisen from Midco. The follow-up is interesting at the 13:18 mark. Is it as simple as stop her and win the game?
21 Michigan State v 24 Michigan (for UM 3 of the 4 players they have scoring 10+ ppg are freshmen) use an adblock
Creighton also plays UConn today
