  • GDT: SDSU vs KC 2pm FB&T Arena SLN (Lamb Bonanza)

The Roos can get a pregame lamb slider before taking the floor. They are a preseason 8th place choice for the conference. HC Jackson Durrett had 6 conference wins heading into her 3rd season at the helm of the Roos. This year's Roos average 62.4pts/game. The shooting percentage is 39.5% with 22.5% from deep. They have their local Bennett twins on the roster with Emani(00) leading the scorers with 15 points. The last(only) win by the Roos over the Jackrabbits was 1/11/2010. There should be no letdown today. I would expect B Meyer to get the 1000 point ball today before the game. Go Jacks!!
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

Is that what you call stepping on a "lamb chip"?

Creighton (13-3) @ Seton Hall (12-3 NET 62) game link if anyone wants to kill some time. They're up 39-27 at the half. Would be a really nice road win. going to need Creighton's NET to be < 26 for the Jacks' home game to count as a quad 1 win. Creighton's NET is 34, Oregon 35.

Great first quarter but ugly second quarter let KC back in it. They’re athletic and switched to zone and halted our offense. Getting out rebounded. Brooklyn in foul trouble. Have to expect AJ makes adjustments at the half and SDSU pulls away.

Dan Jackson being interviewed at half. Indicated he hopes to have Special Teams coach formally announced within hour, so "dual Jackson" staff should be official shortly

Officials whistling phantom fouls on the Jacks.

Brooklyn having some bizarre calls against her today. The good news is Byom, our best FT shooter, is having a great game. Not sure why AJ isn’t using Vlastuin more. She’d be good against the zone.

I hate the "automatic whistle" inconsequential contact fouls that do nothing but prevent both teams from gaining any momentum and playing with a defense, but if it's as bad on both teams, it's adjustable to both teams, and both teams can take advantage, just drive to the hoop more and make sure you throw something up at any contact, and hit the deck to add effect, especially if the player fouled is a great FT shooter, just take the 2 pts for the team and as an added bonus get the opposition's best players sitting on the bench in foul trouble instead of hurting you on the court, it doesn't take a genius to figure that out quick. Better have a deep bench when playing in the Summit. I don't like anything goes, let the muggings begin type reffing either, can't there be something in between the two extremes?

On a separate note, another positive I've noticed is we are getting better at having players in good rebounding positions , there were times when there were 3 Jacks under the basket after the shot to grab the easy, uncontested rebound (mostly defensive rebounds ) , although we lost the rebound battle today, mostly by giving up O boards , which also pads their (Roo's) second chance pt attempts. There seems to be both positives and negatives in each game, as long as we win, we do more good things than bad obviously.
