HC Banks has the Mavs (9-5) on their best start since their move to D1. They opened the conference schedule with a win over North Dakota. Ja Harvey is a transfer who scores 13.3 points. Ja is an older student who has been in the Army National Guard. She is taking some of the pressure off of Grace Cave who averages 13.5 points. The Mavs are on a 8-1 run after starting 1-4. The Mavs lack some length for the post play of the Jackrabbits. The Jackrabbits can reach 50 consecutive conference wins with a victory tonight. Go Jacks!!

This is the best I've seen them play so far, the passing was supurbly done, crisp and on target, the passing decissions were excellent, no passing into a teammate in a crowd they couldn't do anything with it anyway even if it was completed, most times it wasn't. They were all playing extremely focused and with a lot of movement, no indecision , no sluggishness without any movement. A lot of baskets early were made but not counted for a little mistake made but still the play was very good. Omaha played well and if not for our team playing so well it would have been closer yet. Getting 12 steals was a fantastic effort and making their pressing defense for the most part ineffective. This team is really progressing well and if they keep it up will be quite the team at the end of the Conference season , although they are pretty good right now I'd say.

It was a decent night for Vlastuin. Vasecka had some more minutes as a PG. Timmer's battery is fully charged all the time. B Meyer hits 1000. P Meyer has 5 assists with 1 TO. Byom has 6 boards in first quarter. Mathiowetz shoots 55%. Defense was solid after the first quarter. It is agreed that this team can find more improvement by SLT. The current conference win streak is a huge accomplishment for the program. Omaha has an Aussie freshman, 6' 3" Harriet Ford, who will be a bigger force than Pilakouta was in the past. She is coming back from an injury and she is not close to game condition. (Also notice that the Mavs do not have the same level of strength & conditioning that the Jackrabbits enjoy)
