  • GDT: SDSU vs Dakota St 7pm FB&T SLN

The 8-3 Trojans are the last Jackrabbit home game of the OOC. This is an exhibition for the Trojans who are a top 10 NAIA program. They will be challenged by the length of the Jackrabbits. This should provide the team to show their 15+ assists/game.. Go Jacks!!
Best to remember these are kids and they are doing everything they can to entertain us, be scholars, and all in all be great humans. Jackedforlife

They beat DWU , so they're pretty good, about par with them. I hope we can get some players in for game experience instead of just running up a score, both teams can benefit from that, it's an exhibition game after all. Should be a fun game to watch as we have a very tough game coming up against Texas to close out the OOC games.

I assume it's exhibition for DSU, not the Jacks (like the DWU game). That's why these NAIA games are so dangerous, the visitor has absolutlry no pressure

Currently gone 4 minutes without anyone scoring, late in the first half.

DSU has another two and a half minutes of not scoring though

DSU gets a bucket at the buzzer to break their 9 minute scoring drought. 34-20 Jacks at halftime.

Not a great display of offensive basketball by either team.

Much better offensively in the 4th quarter.

One of the many things AJ noted during postgame was that it was the 10th non conference win (think it was the difficulty getting to 10 non-con wins) and having a top 15 strength of schedule.
Fox tied her career high (12 pts) which was nice to see prior to the Texas game. Would have liked to have seen Vlastuin score a bit more.

Dakota State, to their credit, was very a fast defensive team, not too many open looks from 3 to be had until the fourth quarter, and then we got more open shots and hit at a greater percentage. They were a very pesky team.

Vlastuin and Colbeck have both been a bit quieter than I expected this year but I think they'll do more once we get into conference season. We have so many weapons and great shooters.

Credit to these NAIA teams playing hard in a big environment. Score last night was closer than it looked honestly.

It was encouraging to see Theisen get some of her touch back around the basket. Hopefully more rust will shake off as the season progresses.

Kallie is currently the 3rd leading rebounder with 17 minutes/game. Also, Timmer was finding offensive rebounds with great efficiency last night. If the Jackrabbits had better shooting in the first 5 minutes of the first quarter, the game would have been a bigger blowout. The Trojans were good defensively in close to the basket. They had trouble getting rebounds. All the Jackrabbits scored in the game. Only Hopp & Behrens did not book an assist. The talent on this team is impressive through the roster.
