AJ opens his 25th season as head coach in this exhibition event. Former Jackrabbit coach Lori Fish returns as head coach of the Huskies. It will be interesting to view how the talented Jackrabbit roster is arranged tonight. It will be a great night for the introduction of the new roster. Go Jacks!!

Great venue. People still drifting in… second half will start in a couple minutes. Crowd is a little quiet but it’s an exhibition game and we’re up 42-21 with the freshmen getting a lot of time.

No Behrens or Vlastuin. AJ said they are close. Behrens has less experience than our freshmen at this point. Not sure what’s plagued her.

Nice start for the ladies IMO. The Meyer's are incredible, Kallie was very solid in her return, Haleigh had a poor night offensively, and Madison M was solid. The one that is going to be hard to keep off the court is Mesa, it's really something to see the progress she has made since the start of her Junior season! Ellie (especially) and Jenna will be important role players. Vasecka, although she had a few "oops" moments is going to be incredible. Fox is maybe our next Madison Geubert/Madison Vlastuin? I thought that we would see more of Abdouch, I assumed her to be the heir apparent to Paige. The other two freshman showed good signs of skill, just not a lot of playing time. FT and 3pt shooting wasn't great, but I would call that first game rust. Summit League teams will have a hard time scoring in the paint, by my tally we had around 3,672 blocked shots last night, give or take. Should be fun, no injuries please!

Any chance we are good enough to rotate three groups of 5 without missing a beat? Full court, up tempo the entire game? I know it is not our style, but the possibilities with this much depth are kind of fun to think about.
One hand points to campus...the other to the liquor store.

I would guess we could do 2. Mixing and matching. But one would have to figure a couple of the freshman redshirt. Sheppard and Dunn?

The Meyers are too good not to play 25-30 minutes a game. And Timmer as well when she gets back in the swing of things. But there certainly is enough quality depth that no one will be forced to play excessive minutes. And there will be a number of games, especially in conference play, that will be one-sided enough to get everyone playing time.

AJ hasn't done much redshirting in the past, unless forced to because of injury. But he's probably never had a roster of 15 players with this much quality. It will be interesting to see how he handles things.

                    I heard Abdouch is redshirting...

Interesting, I wonder the reasoning? Not saying that’s a wrong decision, just curious as to why?

Most of the roster has been showing the weight and strength program effects. These women will not be pushed around easily. The top 8 players will also be tough defense for opponents. Vasecka and Fox are having a few freshman moments, but they will need to learn better passing & defense on the run. The graphics around the arena are great as the updated stats rotate on the ends and the multiple views on the big screen will be interesting as more cameras are put into service. It seemed to be a good turnout for the exhibition game.

Just my opinion...needs to get stronger. Also, she's 3rd on depth chart at PG. I'd say Dunn is also likely to redshirt and possibly Sheppard.

I wasn't thinking of doing that for a whole game. Maybe coming out of halftime, press for 4 or 5 minutes rotating groups to take away the other teams legs. Go back to a regular rotation and cruise in the 4th quarter.
