  • Maybe it's just me

Just back from the women's game and it was kinda what was to be expected. Seriously tho is it possible there is a high school gym in the state that has a worse sound system than we do? I can't understand anything in introductions and they play that background music so loud you can't hear the announcer. Pathetic. If it is just me could someone come sit by me and translate for me? On another note it sure seems dark in there. I dont remember all the shadows on the floor before. Ok I will quit now.

The plan is to put in new video and sound after the construction is complete. Those two things plus the new floor will be the last things put in.

It is not just you. My wife and I thought the exact same thing. The announcer may as well have eaten the microphone. Just a garbled bleh.

This was my first time in Frost since updates began. Pretty cool stuff. I liked that the baskets that were on the side were no longer there. The cords that helped move them up and down would always hang in the way of the scoreboard. Not a huge deal, but an annoyance I won't miss. I am excited to see the finished product.

The women looked great tonight. I forget how fast they are live vs on TV. They are a fun group to cheer for.

My wife and I attended the game against SC State. The acoustics are definitely off, and I think the ongoing construction and unfinished areas would have an effect on them.

Someone said that there is a lot of construction dust in the arena and that can't be good for electronic equipment.

Maybe the proposed lighting has to be done yet also. When construction is completely done, these problems should go away I'm thinking, hopefully it's all due to construction.

They'll have to change the air ducting filters a little more at first to get the construction dust out of the air in the building after it's all finished, if they don't hire a third person service to clean it all out..

I heard that same and although I love the giant interlocking SD in the middle of our current floor - it might be time for a fresh new design perhaps with more color and style than the current classic. But I think it would be cool if they reassembled the current SD logo part of the floor on a wall as a display in the new entry or in one of the "club" areas behind the new stands.

Its interesting to attend games during the process, but it does kind of leave us with a gray, odd feeling this year. I will be excited for the finished product.
