This team is very limited offensively when Paige M. sits. 6-16 from the line doesn't help either.

      Down 24-22 at half.

      Wowza.

This is awful. We may not play a worse D1 team this season. Absolutely every single player looks terrible tonight.

Transitioning from being role players to being top scoring options is a tough task, and that is a lot of the struggle right now

Nah, this opponent would beat quite a few Summit League teams. They’ve got a ton of P5 transfers.

Defense looked good, The Meyer duo looked good, the rest of the offense…. not so much. Playing time will get everybody more comfortable. Go Jacks!

Was good to see Vlastuin hit a couple treys to extend lead

The offense started to flow a little better at the end. It's going to be a work in progress for awhile as everyone figures out where they fit in.

Not even close, most of the Summit League doesn't have anywhere near the size and athleticism of this team.

Jacks won't go undefeated in league play, but should be a tough out in the SLT. Hopp is going to be a player.

Meyer and Meyer for 33 of our 55 points, nobody else in double figures . Sure hope we can get more scoring , as well as play lock down defense , in future games. Valuable playing time for the players who didn't play much last year. Not the best we're capable of, but we ground out a win, I'll take it.

Just look at the opening games of the Summit teams, if they play a decent team, the score, it's not so good , we don't have a strong Conference showing so far.

Well, more bad news as Behrens has a serious injury. AJ says “not necessarily” out the entire season. Yikes.

On the bright side, the conference race is going to be much more interesting this year. Might be 3-4 teams scrapping for a 15 seed in the tournament.

The game was physical and the pace was pretty fast most of the time, and we only rotated in three players off the bench (had 8 players total available). Besides that, we played extremely hard on defense to boot all game long. These ladies played their butt off, some of them had to be pretty tired at times. Really proud of the effort this team puts out, it's not easy being short handed when the other team has fresher bodies playing defense on you all the time. Hope we don't get worn down by the end of the season too badly. Hope Behren's can heal up and return to action, but don't want her to rush it until she's completely healed and ready to play.

I thought that Jenna Hopp stood out as a player that will develop into something special in time. Last night 18 minutes and 1-2 field goals but she just looks like she belongs. It will be fun to watch her get more experience.

One question - how is it possible that Jenna was named to 7 all-state teams in her Iowa high school career? Did she really make all-state as a 6th grader or are there multiple all-state teams in Iowa somehow where she was named to 2 different teams some of her high school seasons?
